The Initiative demands that those responsible for the killing of a citizen in Tulkarm camp be held accountable

The National Initiative Movement demanded, on Wednesday, “the formation of an independent investigation committee, the accountability of those responsible for the martyrdom of the young Abdul Qadir Zakdah from the Tulkarem camp, the publication of the results of the investigation, and the submission of the shooter to accountability before the competent judiciary.”

The initiative movement called, in a statement, which I reviewed together, “to preserve civil peace, protect private and public property, preserve national unity, and protect the right of the Palestinian people to resist occupation, settlement, the apartheid regime, and racial discrimination.”

Today, a young man was shot dead in Tulkarem camp, during a campaign to remove encroachments carried out by the security services.

The security services denied that they fired, and said that gunmen opened fire on the force, and during the shooting, a citizen was killed by the gunmen.

The General Political Commissioner and spokesman for the security establishment, Talal Dweikat, announced that the security services had opened an investigation into the circumstances of the death of citizen Abdul Qader Zakdah in the Tulkarm camp, to find out the source of the shooting
