Minister of Culture, Haifa Najjar, said National Strategy for Culture for 2023-2027 was presented by the ministry’s workers, who enjoy “extensive” competencies and expertise, without seeking any foreign support. During a lecture on Tuesday evening at Orthodox Club in Amman, Najjar said the strategy was built according to the “latest” specifications, and featured “important” projects, primarily “Cultural Industries Project.” Najjar also noted the strategy was received by Cabinet’s endorsement, which approved it in a session chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh and entrusted Ministry of Culture to develop an executive action plan to set its performance indicators, time frame, and the estimated financial costs of implementation of its goals. On its axes, Najjar said the strategy carries visions and hopes to celebrate Jordan’s heritage and common capability to reflect the Kingdom’s identity within possible goals and priorities. This vision, she affirmed, aims to raise operational level of various sectors to provide a model for implementing these goals in the areas of cultural and creative industries and their impact on the culture-based innovative economy, in participation with other ministries.
