Swift Arrests Made in Capital Cafe Burglary Case

Amman:A routine cafe burglary in the capital was swiftly resolved within 24 hours with the arrest of two repeat offenders and the recovery of stolen cash, as announced by the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Spokesperson on Monday.

According to Jordan News Agency, authorities were alerted by a local cafe owner who reported a nighttime break-in. The offenders had forcibly entered the establishment and managed to crack open a heavy-duty iron safe, stealing 1,500 Jordanian dinars in cash.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) quickly secured the primary crime scene and conducted a thorough search for forensic evidence. They rapidly developed leads, identifying two known recidivists with extensive criminal records as the primary suspects.

With tactical surveillance and intelligence operations in place, law enforcement executed two pre-dawn raids in separate parts of the capital. Both suspects were apprehended without incident, and a substantial amount of the stolen cash was recovered.

The suspects are now in custody and have been referred to the public prosecutor's office, where they await formal indictment.
