Statistics show 6.35 per cent increase in industrial producers’ price index in 5 months

The industrial producers’ price index increased by 6.35 per cent until end of May 2021, reaching 119.62 points, compared with 112.48 for the same period last year, according to Department of Statistics (DoS) figures.

The DoS, in its monthly report Wednesday, indicated that the industrial producers’ price index for May 2021 increased by 21.89 percent, to reach 122.73 points, compared to 100.69 for the same month last year.

According to the report, May 2021 index went up by 0.76 percent, amounting to 122.73 points, compared with 121.81 for the prior month.
