The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Brother Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, stressed the importance of documenting the crimes and violations committed by the Saudi-UAE aggression coalition and its tools against the Yemeni people for nine years under the auspices and support of the United States.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives during his meeting on Sunday with the Deputy Minister for Expatriate Affairs, Zayed Al-Riami, stressed the importance of concerted efforts to follow up on the file of crimes and violations committed by the Coalition of Aggression and its instruments against the people of Yemen in international courts and to bring the grievance of the Yemeni people and their case to parliamentary and international forums in cooperation with the relevant authorities, human rights activists and members of Yemeni communities in various countries around the world.
He appreciated the efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Expatriate Affairs to monitor the sons of Yemeni communities abroad, as well as the crimes and violations committed by the aggression coalition against Yemeni people, and urged them to redouble their efforts in that regard.
The Deputy Minister for Expatriate Affairs confirmed that the Ministry continues to document crimes and violations, including those committed by the Saudi regime against Yemeni expatriates, for submission to international courts.
The war waged by the aggression coalition against Yemen was seen as an extension of the Saudi regime’s long-standing war against Yemen and affecting Yemenis at home and abroad.
The Deputy Minister for Expatriate Affairs, the Speaker of the House of Representatives briefd on the Ministry’s efforts to follow up on issues of expatriate affairs abroad, including coordination to provide and document a valid database of expatriates abroad to facilitate follow-up on their situations and issues around the world.
The meeting, which was attended by the Assistant Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Abdulrahman Al-Mansour, discussed a number of cases of expatriates abroad, including arbitrary measures by the Saudi authorities against Yemeni expatriates, and violations and inhumane treatment they face in their prisons.
