Senate President Faisal Al Fayez on Sunday discussed with Russian Ambassador Gleb Desyatnikov latest regional developments, bilateral ties and a range of issues of common concern.
Fayez highlighted the importance of the strategic Jordanian-Russian relations, calling for furthering economic and trade cooperation for the best interests of the two countries.
He also called for opening the Russian market to Jordanian exports, by reducing entry costs and activating bilateral economic, tourism and investment agreements.
Talks during the meeting also tackled latest developments related to the peace process, urging countries to push for a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.
The Ambassador referred to the “deep-rooted and friendly” ties between the countries and voiced readiness to develop this cooperation in the future.
