Senate president meets Bahraini, Mexican ambassadors

Amman: Senate President Faisal Fayez met with Bahraini Ambassador Ahmed Al-Ruwaie and Mexican Ambassador Roberto Hernandez separately on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and the region’s current situation.

During his meeting with Al-Ruwaie, Fayez expressed his pride in the deep-rooted Jordanian-Bahraini relations and the high level they have reached in various political and economic fields.

He spoke about the current situation in the region and Jordan’s endeavors to bring about security and stability, enable the public to live free and safely, and resolve the Palestinian issue according to the resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution.

For his part, Al-Ruwaie praised His Majesty King Abdullah II’s role and efforts to settle various regional issues, reiterating Bahrain’s commitment to bolstering ties with Jordan, especially the economic partnership.

During his meeting with Hernandez, Fayez commended the high-level Jordanian-Mexican relations, which are based on mutual respect and common interests, stressing the importance of strengthening and developing them in various fields.

The meeting dealt with several issues, the foremost of which was the need to increase investments and trade exchange and build partnerships in various fields.

For his part, Hernandez praised His Majesty King Abdullah II’s part in finding a solution to regional issues, reaffirming his country’s commitment to strengthening ties with Jordan in various fields.
