Senate Chief and Sudanese Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Issues

Amman: Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday held discussions with Sudanese Ambassador to Jordan Hassan Saleh Swar Al-Dahab, focusing on Jordanian-Sudanese relations and exploring ways to enhance cooperation in multiple sectors, as well as the current situation in Sudan and the broader region.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting took place at the Senate's headquarters where Fayez emphasized that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, supports Sudan in its efforts to restore security and stability, maintain unity, and find political solutions to resolve the ongoing crisis and conflicts. Fayez expressed his hopes for Sudan to achieve security, stability, and progress towards recovery, reconstruction, and development.

Swar Al-Dahab, on his part, provided updates on the situation in Sudan and expressed gratitude for Jordan's supportive position, particularly under the guidance of King Abdullah II. He acknowledged Jordan's continued solidarity with the Sudanese people and emphasized Sudan's eagerness to broaden cooperation with Jordan across all fields. The ambassador praised Jordan's role in supporting Arab causes and highlighted Sudan's dedication to enhancing collaboration to benefit mutual interests.
