Students of a school in North Shona, Irbid, Wednesday were evacuated from their school after the ceiling of two classrooms collapsed as the children were transferred to a nearby school.
The Administrative District of the Northern Jordan Valley, Ali Hawamdeh, told the Jordan News Agency that the Public Safety Commission, which he heads, had decided to move the students to a nearby school starting Thursday until the school is fixed.
Hawamdeh noted that they would assess the school to make recommendations that may include performing maintenance or finding an alternative building for the school.
