Sanad app wins global digital award

Amman, The Sanad application was among the World Summit Awards (WSA) winners list in the Government and Citizen Engagement category.

A team from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship participated in the competition, alongside more than 350 apps from 70 countries.

This is Sanad’s first participation in global contests, said a ministry statement on Monday, affirming that work is underway to develop the app further and make it a one-stop shop for all government e-services.

The WSA is a global organization established in 2003 within the framework of the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). It is an awards system that selects and promotes local digital innovation to improve society.

The organization showcases a prime selection of 40 Winners per year through a democratic, inclusive, and highly competitive award system, in addition to 5 WSA Young Innovators Winners, according to wsa-global.org.
