Safadi and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Discuss Support for Political Process in Syria

AMMAN: In a phone conversation, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya addressed the ongoing situation in Syria, focusing on a political resolution that aligns with the aspirations of the Syrian people.

According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi and Al-Yahya reaffirmed their commitment to supporting a comprehensive political process in Syria, which they believe should be led by Syrians themselves. The goal is to rebuild the Syrian state in a manner that ensures the preservation of rights, unity, sovereignty, and stability. The ministers also expressed their stance on the necessity for a swift Israeli withdrawal from occupied Syrian territories, denouncing the occupation.
