Amman: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty on the sidelines of the Arab ministerial committee meeting. The meeting, which took place in the Jordanian capital, focused on mobilizing international action in response to illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem.
According to African Press Organization, the meeting primarily focused on enhancing cooperation relations between Qatar and Egypt and exploring ways to boost these ties. It also covered the latest regional developments, especially the joint Arab coordination efforts required to confront the Israeli escalation targeting occupied Jerusalem. Diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and enhancing regional security and stability were also discussed.
During the discussions, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of commitment to dialogue and diplomacy by all parties. He highlighted the need to implement agreements made within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, preserving regional security, safeguarding the gains achieved, and strengthening regional stability.
His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's full support for efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement for sustainable peace in the region.
