Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Wednesday laid to rest three of its personnel who were killed in the line of duty: First Lieutenant Murad Asoud Mawajdeh, Sergeant Khaldoun Reqeb, and Corporal Subhi Duwaikat. The officers were tragically killed during a security operation targeting a wanted suspect involved in drug-related crimes in eastern Amman.
According to Jordan News Agency, military funeral ceremonies were held for the fallen officers, with their bodies draped in the Jordanian flag and carried by their fellow officers. The funeral prayers were performed before they were laid to rest in their respective hometowns: Mawajdeh in the town of Iraq in Karak, Reqeb in Al Jizah, and Duwaikat in Dabouq, Amman.
PSD Director Major General Obaidullah Maayta, alongside senior officials, officers and personnel of the PSD, members of the Armed Forces and other security agencies, and large crowds of people, attended the funeral processions. The PSD mourned its fallen officers, expressing prayers for God's mercy and forgiveness upon them and extending strength and solace to their grieving families.
