Agriculture Ministry and JEPA Discuss Continuous Supply of Vegetables and Fruits

Amman: Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Saeb Khraisat, engaged in discussions with Saadi Abu Hammad, Head of the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables (JEPA), regarding the current situation of local vegetable and fruit production and the demands of the local market. The meeting took place at the ministry's headquarters and aimed at reinforcing joint coordination and partnership with different sectors.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the quantities of vegetables and fruits supplied to local markets, noting stable prices and consistent production levels. Dr. Khraisat emphasized the importance of monitoring the quantities delivered to markets and making necessary decisions to ensure a continuous supply.

Dr. Khraisat also highlighted the need to deliver products to consumers in adequate quantities and maintaining quality, especially with the Eid holiday approaching, to ensure prices remain reasonable and meet market needs. Saadi Abu Hammad expressed appreciation for the cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, noting the benefits of open communication and consultation, which support the sector's stability and sustainability.
