PSD Warns of Expected Unstable Weather Conditions

Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) issued a warning about the unpredictable weather that would impact the Kingdom in the days ahead, predicting sporadic, and occasionally heavy, rainstorms, particularly in the eastern and southern parts of the Kingdom.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Directorate urged people to take precautions, emphasizing the need to remain away from low-lying areas, valleys, and areas where floods occur, as well as to relocate to secure locations for dwellers of mobile units, including tents and straw huts, to reduce the possibility of rainfall intrusion.

It also urged people to avoid driving on wet roads, drive slowly to prevent slips and accidents, use heating gadgets safely and not leave them on while you sleep, and ventilate homes to prevent accidents.

The PSD highlighted the need to report any incidents using the unified emergency number 911 and to exercise caution owing to the reduced horizontal visibility caused by dust, particularly in the southern and eastern regions.
