Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged citizens to take necessary precautions as a weather system is expected to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds, potentially causing flash floods in some areas. Authorities have advised the public to avoid low-lying areas and valleys due to flood risks and to drive cautiously to prevent accidents, especially as rainfall intensifies.
According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD also stressed the importance of safely using heating devices, ensuring proper ventilation indoors, and securing loose objects that could be displaced by strong winds. The Public Security Directorate affirmed its full readiness to handle emergencies and called on citizens to stay updated through official weather reports, follow safety guidelines, and contact emergency services at 911 if assistance is needed.
