Promotion of Virtue Commission Provides Awareness to Pilgrims in Eastern Region

Dammam, The Hajj committee of the Eastern Region branch of the General Presidency of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice continues to welcome and provide awareness content to pilgrims. The committee operates at the border crossings of Al Batha, Al Rub' Al-Khali (The Empty Quarter), Salwa, and the King Fahd Causeway. Their work focuses on raising awareness by disseminating written, visual, and audio materials in over 15 languages, utilizing the latest technologies provided by the General Presidency through a wireless device called Mabroor. The Mabroor device uses Wi-Fi to facilitate pilgrims' access to awareness content related to Hajj, Umrah, and visitation. Furthermore, the committee distributes smart awareness cards with QR codes to allow direct access to the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation pages, as well as the Mabroor app. The committee also spreads awareness through screens, banners, and roll-up displays. The director of the General Presidency's branch and the head of the Hajj committee in the Eastern Region, Mohammed bin Marwaai Khawaji, inspected the commission's headquarters to oversee the reception of Hajj pilgrims.
