Amman: His Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal held separate meetings with delegations from the French Senate and the US Congress, focusing on dialogue, solidarity, and regional cooperation.
According to Jordan News Agency, during his meeting with the French Senate’s Communication, Thinking, Monitoring and Solidarity Group with the Christians of the East, Prince El Hassan highlighted the importance of fostering dialogue in the region. He emphasized respecting the unique identities of minorities and their roles in shaping a shared regional future. The prince stressed the need for human solidarity among Eastern communities to promote dignity and collective action against division and hatred.
Prince El Hassan also discussed the initiatives by the Royal Institute for Religious Studies aimed at encouraging dialogue among followers of different religions in the region.
In his discussion with the delegation from the US Congress, Prince El Hassan underscored the significance of cultivating opportunities that empower Eastern communities to remain in their lands. He warned of the growing threat of sectarian divisions and advocated for using the Great Rift Valley as a platform for cooperation and development.
Prince El Hassan called for strategies based on factual realities, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to human development with human dignity as a fundamental principle.
