Amman: Director of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Major General Obaidullah Maaytah conducted an inspection on Tuesday of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts site, reviewing security, traffic, and operational plans designed to ensure a safe and organized environment for festival visitors.
According to Jordan News Agency, Maaytah emphasized the importance of integration and coordination between the PSD, festival organizers, administrative governors, and local partners. He stressed that security and organizational plans must be executed with high efficiency and professionalism to guarantee visitor safety and streamline entry and exit from event venues.
The security strategy incorporates comprehensive operational, preventive, and public service measures tailored to reflect the festival's cultural and tourism prominence, Maaytah stated.
He instructed participating personnel to maintain high vigilance and discipline while prioritizing assistance and guidance for attendees to reflect the country's humanitarian approach to public service.
During the visit, the North Region Police Commander briefed Maaytah on the implementation mechanisms of the security plan, highlighting the deployment of personnel, modern technical capabilities, and field support units stationed across the festival grounds.
