Police arrest another 2 people for inciting hatred, violence in football stadiums

Police officers on Monday arrested two people who had published posts and videos inciting violence and hatred in football stadiums.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said that the PSD, through its Cybercrimes Unit continues to monitor content published on social media platforms which constitute a violation of the law, incitement to societal peace, and a calling for violence before a football match that will be played few days later.

The PSD spokesperson said that the two arrested people will face the toughest legal and administrative actions.

He added that the Cybercrimes Unit will continue to monitor all types of content published in this regard, from any party, to take legal actions against accounts and pages that posts such massages, shut them down, and prosecute those responsible for them in accordance with the provisions of the law, regardless of their source.

The PSD spokesperson voiced no tolerance with any behavior that threatens societal peace, urging everyone to renounce such behaviors that don’t represent the unified Jordanian society.
