Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh on Wednesday continued a series of field and inspection tours, by visiting service and tourism institutions in southern Ma’an Governorate. During his tour, the PM visited Eil Water Station, which supplies water to Ma’an’s Eil District, Al-Naimat villages and areas of Petra District, and serves approximately 35,000 residents of the region. Khasawneh stressed need to work to improve water supply services at Eil station, improve infrastructure of the water sector, and address water losses by modernizing networks. The PM also directed continued steps to rehabilitate, modernize and expand water wells to ensure delivery of the best water services to citizens. The premier was briefed by Minister of Water and Irrigation, Mohammad Najjar, and Director General of the Aqaba Water Company, Khaled Obeidien, on the station’s operations and the procedures implemented to ensure the continued water supply to citizens, according to the “highest” specifications. Najjar and Obeidien also presented the key projects that are underway aimed to modernize the station’s infrastructure and provide new water sources to ensure improvement of water services provided to citizens. On the other hand, Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh visited Eil Comprehensive Health Center in Ma’an Governorate. The PM directed necessity of providing the “best” health services to citizens, securing all necessary health and treatment supplies and ensuring continuity of the center’s work round the clock. The PM, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Firas Hawari, toured the center’s facilities, and was briefed by the center’s directors about its services. Moreover, PM exchanged conversations with patients and visitors on the medical and treatment services provided by the center.
