Amman: Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Khasawneh on Sunday received ministers of the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain participating in the 3RD meeting of the Higher Committee for Integrated Industrial Partnership.
During the meeting, the PM stressed the importance of the “strategic” effort targeted by the integrated industrial partnership initiative, which receives attention of His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Majesty Bahrain’s Monarch, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Khasawneh valued “unrelenting” efforts made by the ministers and endeavors of the four countries’ teams to come up with new frameworks for joint cooperation, which would contribute to achieving the participating nations’ interests, mainly reducing economic costs and creating job opportunities.
PM also highlighted the importance of the agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoU) that were signed Sunday during the 3rd meeting of the Higher Committee for Integrated Industrial Partnership, in terms of quantity and quality.
This initiative, he noted, will be a nucleus for other “qualitative” initiatives in various fields to serve common interests.
The premier noted this initiative is open to all brotherly Arab countries to join within the framework of strategic joint cooperation and integration, welcoming in this regard Bahrain’s step to join it recently.
For their part, the Arab ministers stressed importance of the agreements signed today during the Higher Committee’s meetings that serve all participating countries, adding that they were inked in “record” time and launch projects that serve the initiative’s spirit.
The ministers said achievement that has been made so far constitutes a success story for the countries participating in the initiative, which have the necessary ingredients for success of the partnership projects scheduled to be launched, primarily focusing on human and financial resources, geographical location and raw materials.
They also stressed their commitment to holding periodical meetings, as the next talks will be convened in Bahrain mid-2023.
Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology / UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister, Ahmed Samir Saleh, Bahraini Industry and Trade Minister, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply and Minister of Labor, Yousef Shamali and UAE Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid bin Sultan Al Nahyan attended the meeting.
