According to Jordan News Agency, the lighting of the iconic monument is a gesture to mark the International Day of Remembrance for Fallen Officers. This day is observed annually on March 7th to pay tribute to police officers who lost their lives while performing their duties.
The occasion is marked globally with various tributes, such as lighting landmarks in blue, observing moments of silence, and flying flags at half-mast. These acts serve as a recognition of the ultimate sacrifice made by fallen officers around the world.
