Petra Authority and Korea Explore Cultural Cooperation and Joint Programs

Petra: The Chairperson of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, Fares Braizat, met with the Korean Cultural Attach© in Amman, Gyoyeon Lee, to discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation.

According to Jordan News Agency, the two sides explored the possibility of organizing joint cultural programs and activities between the Petra Region and the Korean Embassy during the coming year. This initiative aims to strengthen cultural exchange and promote Petra internationally as a leading tourist destination.

During the meeting, Braizat underscored the importance of international cultural partnerships in supporting tourism. He emphasized enhancing Petra’s position as a global destination that combines historical heritage with cultural diversity. Braizat also highlighted the positive development of Jordanian-Korean relations across various fields.

For his part, the Korean Cultural Attach© stressed the Embassy’s keenness to open avenues for future cultural and artistic cooperation with the Petra Region Authority. This collaboration aims to introduce the Korean public to Petra’s unique cultural heritage.
