Opening and laying foundation stone for oil projects in Hodeida with over eight billion riyals

The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Abdullah Daris, inaugurated a project for the maintenance and restoration of the management building of the Yemen Petroleum Company branch in Hodeida province, at a cost of $476,000, with self-financing.

Minister Daris, accompanied by the Director of the Yemeni General Corporation for Oil and Gas, Mahmoud Al-Noum, and the Executive Director of the Yemen Oil Company, Eng.Ammar Al-Adhrai, one of those in charge of the project, explained the stages of implementing the maintenance and restoration project of the company’s branch administration building, which was established in 1975.

The Minister of Oil and Director of the Yemeni General Corporation for Oil and Gas, and the Executive Director of the Yemeni Oil Company, also inaugurated a project to maintain and rehabilitate the Ras Issa oil port, at a cost of 800 million riyals, with self-financing.

In addition, the Minister Dares laid the foundation stone for the project to develop the Ras Issa oil port - the first phase - at an estimated cost of seven billion and 400 million riyals, with self-financing.

He affirmed that the opening and laying of the foundation stone for projects in Ras Issa oil port, which is one of the most important natural oil ports in the Arab region, comes within the framework of the national vision program for state building, and within the path of "a hand that protects ... a hand that builds".

Minister Dares pointed out the keenness to follow up the implementation of oil and service projects in Al-Hodeida province, and other provinces to meet the country's needs for oil derivatives.
