One tourist facility shut down, 16 fined for flouting public health measures

The inspection teams of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with other relevant authorities, have shut down one tourist facility and fined 16 others in July for not complying with public safety requirements.

A statement by the ministry on Tuesday said that the inspection teams conducted some 283 visits to various tourist businesses, including hotels and restaurants across the Kingdom.

The ministry indicated that 206 tourist establishments have adhered to public safety and health protection standards, noting that 18 others have been notified.
