New Group of Participants to Join Katara Summer Camp Activities Next Week

Over 40 children are participating in Katara Summer Camp 2023 for the third consecutive day after attending miscellaneous workshops and lectures, as well as awareness, recreational and sports activities.

Meanwhile, the camp is due to receive a new group of children participating in the event next Sunday, since Katara is determined to provide opportunity to a substantial number of children to participate and benefit from the camp activities.

The Trainer from Nomas Center Omran Al Kuwari hailed children’s interests in Ardha workshop, along with their propensities for learning this authentic art, emphasizing that the offered workshop does not stop at educating them on how to perform Ardha, but goes beyond that to include briefing them on values, principles and rules of Ardha.

The Imam and Preacher of Katara Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Makki noted the lectures that are delivered to children, in accordance with their age categories, indicating that the lectures addressed the good morals derived from the Islamic education. He added that the camp constitutes a vital opportunity to promote the good behavior and education derived from values and principles of Islam.

Children have been reacting positively with the camp based on their enthusiasm and preparation, Makki said, lauding the children’s guardians for the exerted efforts in organizing the camp during summer vocations with a variety of workshops and lectures. He pointed out that the guardians confirmed that such activities primarily nourish their children’s minds, knowledges and expertise, in addition to nurturing their knowledge of Islamic education.

The third day program included a field trip to Al Thuraya Planetarium, where participants toured the area and enjoyed the Astronaut 3D show, in addition to touring the premises of Al Gannas Association to get familiarized with further information about falcons and hunting styles, which help them augment their knowledge and develop their skills.

The camp organizers were determined to focus on educational workshops with respect to hospitality, etiquette of discussions in majlis to consolidate the authentic customs and traditions of the people of Qatar.
