Irbid: Yarmouk University (YU) President Dr. Islam Massad and Director of the Madrasati initiative Tala Sweis signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing the educational environment in Jordan’s schools through the implementation of the e-twinning program.
According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Massad emphasized that the partnership with the Madrasati Initiative is expected to impact the quality of YU’s Faculty of Educational Sciences alumni significantly. The collaboration is designed to improve their ability to engage with modern technological advancements by upgrading their digital skills and applying global teaching practices.
Tala Sweis underscored the significance of the e-twinning program as a tool for fostering communication between schools and universities, both locally and internationally, through an interactive electronic platform. Sweis pointed out that the initiative aims to facilitate the exchange of educational expertise among students and faculty from various cultures, supporting educational reform by training YU faculty students to bolster their digital competencies, thereby strengthening the educational system and promoting cultural diversity and inclusiveness.
The memorandum also aims to establish teacher-based professional networks among countries involved in the e-twinning project, focusing on the development of teaching methods and conducting interactive workshops. A clear action plan will be developed to integrate the e-twinning program into university courses, forge partnerships and networks with universities and educational institutions across Europe, and promote the program through online platforms, especially social media.
