Amman: The Youth, Peace and Security Unit at the Ministry of Youth, in collaboration with the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), conducted a training workshop on Thursday focused on the data collection and management system for Jordan's National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security.
According to Jordan News Agency, the workshop, titled "From Data to Actionable Information for Monitoring and Decision-Making," aimed to facilitate the implementation of the national plan. It brought together 30 liaison officers from various ministries and institutions involved in the plan's execution.
The session delved into the mechanisms of the electronic system and the data collection tools used to monitor and evaluate indicators. The goal was to standardize monitoring procedures, enhance coordination among stakeholders, and transform collected data into actionable information that supports monitoring and decision-making processes.
Participants received hands-on training on utilizing the electronic system and a unified digital platform, which included instructions on monthly data entry, documenting activities, updating indicators, and tracking progress. This training aimed to ensure consistency in work procedures and accuracy in data management.
Additionally, the workshop included guidance on using an indicator-tracking file, establishing baselines and targets, monitoring actual progress, and visualizing and analyzing data. The objective was to build the capacity of liaison officers to effectively use the data system, standardize indicator entry and documentation, and strengthen data-driven monitoring, gap identification, and decision-making.
