Minister Tours Health Facilities in South, Urges Better Infrastructure

Tafileh: During a tour of health facilities in the South of the Kingdom on Saturday, Health Minister Ibrahim Bdour said public clinics and hospitals across the Kingdom will soon be reinforced with medical, health, and administrative staff.

According to Jordan News Agency, the minister stated that efforts are aimed at streamlining services in health centers, reducing waiting time, and enhancing quality care. He urged a comprehensive assessment of the infrastructure in health facilities, which includes maintenance and setting clear priorities to ensure uninterrupted services and an improved work environment in these institutions.

During his visit, Bdour stopped at eight comprehensive healthcare centers in Tafileh and Karak governorates, including the Tafileh Government Hospital. There, he observed the workflow and learned about technical challenges, primarily staff shortages and variations in service levels.

Bdour emphasized that restructuring services will ensure the integration of roles among these centers and enhance their ability to meet the health needs in their respective areas, especially in remote regions. This restructuring is expected to ease the pressure on hospitals and improve the efficiency of the entire healthcare system.

He further stressed that field visits are crucial for monitoring performance, identifying needs, and supporting the adoption of swift and effective decisions that positively impact the level of healthcare services. This approach aligns with the government’s strategy of enhancing fieldwork and developing direct monitoring mechanisms to raise the efficiency of public services and improve responsiveness to needs across different sectors.
