Minister Orders Opening Mosques as Shelters Amid Adverse Weather Conditions

Amman: The Minister of Awqaf (Endowment) and Islamic Affairs on Tuesday issued instructions to open all mosques across the Kingdom as temporary shelters in light of the prevailing weather conditions. The decision comes as a response to the urgent need for safe havens for individuals affected by the adverse weather.

According to Jordan News Agency, the minister also decided to use all vacant staff housing units, including those designated for Imams and Muezzins, as shelters for individuals stranded or affected by the ongoing weather conditions. This measure aims to provide immediate relief and safety to those in need during this challenging period.
