Amman: El Hassan Youth Award and Al-Hussein Technical University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on enhancing youth empowerment through skill development and participation in national programs. This strategic partnership aims to prepare young Jordanians for the job market by building character, leadership, and life skills.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement, signed by Al-Hussein Technical University President Ismail Hanti and Director of the El Hassan Youth Award Khawla Hassan, promotes collaboration in implementing joint programs and activities. It also involves the exchange of expertise and organization of training courses and workshops, aligning with the mutual objectives of both institutions to maximize the benefits for students and youth.
Hanti emphasized the significant impact of the El Hassan Youth Award on participants' personal development, which positively influences their career paths and societal roles. He highlighted the university's commitment to providing high-quality programs in collaboration with national institutions, expressing pride in this partnership that broadens students' horizons and prepares them for the future.
Furthermore, Hanti noted that the university prioritizes initiatives that enhance students' character and life skills alongside academic excellence, underscoring the importance of qualified youth ready for the labor market and capable of leadership in various professional environments. The partnership aligns with the university's vision of preparing a conscious and active generation contributing positively to national development.
Khawla Hassan described the award's implementation through three levels-Bronze, Silver, and Gold-along with the Al Hassan Pathway Programme, aimed at empowering participants and developing effective young leaders. This approach combines volunteer work with developmental initiatives, fostering character, leadership skills, and responsibility.
She also mentioned that the award has received full accreditation from the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award for a five-year period, a rare distinction among international offices. This accreditation allows Gold Award recipients to participate in the International Gold Award Gathering, which enriches their experiences and broadens their horizons both locally and internationally.
