Meeting Held to Enhance Amman-Cairo Urban Cooperation

Amman: Jordan's Ambassador to Egypt Amjad Adaileh met with Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber to discuss cooperation in urban development and local administration.

According to Jordan News Agency, Adaileh emphasized Jordan's commitment to its strong relations with Egypt, guided by both countries' leadership and supported by their governments. He advocated for strengthening partnerships and expanding cooperation between Cairo Governorate and Greater Amman Municipality. This falls within the framework of ongoing coordination between Jordanian and Egyptian official institutions.

Saber, on his part, underscored the depth of bilateral relations, which continue to evolve, serving as a model of joint Arab cooperation. The meeting explored ways to activate the provisions of the friendship and cooperation agreement signed between Cairo Governorate and Greater Amman Municipality in 2015. This agreement serves as a practical framework for institutional cooperation and exchange of expertise in local governance.

Both parties stressed the importance of sharing expertise in infrastructure, local services, urban management, climate change adaptation, and improving the quality of life in cities.
