Lower House Speaker Opens Sada Al-Shaab Center for Political, Strategic Studies

Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi inaugurated the Sada Al-Shaab Center for Political and Strategic Studies, with lawmakers, senators, and various political, media, and academic figures in attendance.

According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Qadi emphasized King Abdullah II's leadership as central to Jordan's national modernization, highlighting the King's focus on improving living standards, expanding employment, and enhancing public services. Al-Qadi called for an integrated effort from national institutions to align state policies, media, and research initiatives with citizens' needs, promoting political participation and trust in state institutions.

Al-Qadi further stated that research and media centers like the Sada Al-Shaab Center, an extension of the Sada Al-Shaab daily newspaper, are crucial for gauging public sentiment and translating concerns into actionable policies. He stressed the necessity of scientific research centers and media to support effective parliamentary work, ensuring legislative decisions are responsive to citizens' needs.

Omar Al-Ayasra, Sada Al-Shaab Board Chairman, highlighted the center's role in fulfilling a national need by strengthening media's societal role, developing analytical tools, and producing policy recommendations. He noted the importance of unbiased, in-depth analysis amid rapid regional shifts to support decision-makers in addressing citizens' needs.

Al-Ayasra emphasized the center's commitment to transitioning from news reporting to knowledge production, focusing on major national issues and aligning research with real-world challenges. He also underscored the center's capacity to provide an independent platform for analyzing regional developments, enhancing transparency, and building public trust.

Mahmoud Al-Fataftah, the newspaper Director-General, assured adherence to high scientific and professional standards in research, with plans for studies, reports, and seminars to keep pace with political developments. The center aims to build a comprehensive research database, aiding decision-makers and fostering a knowledge-based approach to national issues.

Editor-in-Chief Khaled Khraisha described the center as a knowledge arm supporting journalism, producing analytical content to elevate public discourse and reaffirming Sada Al-Shaab's commitment to professionalism and national service.
