Amman: The Executive Committee of the House of Representatives convened on Sunday with the participation of members of the Standing Committee and representatives of parliamentary blocs. During this crucial meeting, participants reached a consensus on several key initiatives aimed at enhancing parliamentary operations.
According to Jordan News Agency, the attendees agreed to form a specialized committee tasked with drafting proposals to amend the House's bylaws. This newly formed committee is also responsible for organizing field visits for parliamentary blocs, ensuring these visits do not disrupt the ongoing work of standing parliamentary committees.
In addition, the meeting resulted in an agreement to coordinate with the parliamentary blocs to distribute parliamentary questions effectively, ensuring their inclusion on the agendas of oversight sessions. This step aims to enhance the oversight functions of the House.
The participants also concurred on the importance of holding regular Executive Committee meetings. These meetings, which will include the participation of Standing Committee members and bloc leaders, are intended to keep parliamentary blocs informed of the latest developments and to gather observations that could strengthen the coordination of parliamentary work.
