Lower House Speaker Mourns Security Officers Killed in Drug Raid

Amman: Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi expressed deep sorrow and grief after three Public Security Department officers were killed in a shootout during a drug raid in East Amman Wednesday morning. "We mourn the martyrs of duty: First Lieutenant Murad Al-Mawajdeh, Sergeant Khaldoun Al-Raqab, and Corporal Subhi Dwaikat, with utmost respect for their heroism and dedication as they confronted outlaws and drug dealers, who target the youth of the country and its future," he said.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Lower House Speaker emphasized that this tragic incident will only strengthen their resolve in the ongoing battle against drug-related crimes. He stressed the importance of maintaining a firm stance against those who threaten Jordan's security and stability.

Qadi also extended his deepest condolences to the families of the fallen officers and expressed his wishes for a swift recovery for the officer who was injured in the line of duty.
