The Minister of Labor Nayef Steitieh on Thursday discussed with the Canadian Ambassador Donica Pottie joint cooperation in a number of areas related to labor issues.

Steitieh underlined the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening joint cooperation on labor issues, namely those related to developing the work of the ministry’s arms, such as the Vocational Training Corporation and the Professional and Technical Skills Development Authority.

The ministry, he added, is looking forward to cementing cooperation between the two countries to achieve a real partnership, and to benefit from Canadian expertise, noting that the two sides will coordinate to pinpoint priorities.

For her part, the Canadian ambassador lauded the level of the Jordanian-Canadian relations in various fields, especially in the fields of labor and vocational training, stressing the need to develop and strengthen these ties to serve the common interests of the two peoples.
