Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday received Chairman of the Shura Council of Oman Khalid Al Maawali, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting, which was also attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, focused on recent regional developments and the importance of de-escalating current tensions to ensure the security and sovereignty of Arab states.
According to Jordan News Agency, King Abdullah II emphasized the strong and enduring ties between Jordan and Oman. He expressed Jordan's commitment to further strengthening these bilateral relations. The meeting highlighted mutual interests and cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting was also attended by several key figures, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Qadi, and Oman's Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Fahad bin Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al Ojaili. These participants underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing regional challenges and maintaining stability in the Arab world.
