Amman: In the presence of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Centre (KHCC), the Siniora Food Industries Company signed an agreement to establish a fund to support the living expenses of cancer patients from Gaza and their companions during their treatment period at the KHCC. This initiative is designed to enable patients to concentrate on their treatment and recovery processes.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement was signed by KHCF's Director General Nisreen Qatamish and Siniora Food Industries Company CEO Majdi Al-Sharif. The signing ceremony was attended by Tarek Akkad, Chairman of the company's board, which is a key subsidiary of the Arab Palestinian Investment Company (APIC).
Under the terms of the agreement, Siniora will provide an annual contribution for three years to cover the living expenses of cancer patients from Gaza and their companions. This gesture demonstrates the company's commitment to humanitarian efforts.
Princess Ghida Talal honoured Siniora for its contributions to supporting various programs and events dedicated to cancer patients. She also honoured the company's board chairman, acknowledging his continued personal support and efforts to promote sustainable social responsibility in advancing the foundation's mission.
The collaboration between KHCF and Siniora has been ongoing since 2003, with support extended to several programs and initiatives. These include the "Make a Wish" program, the King Hussein Cancer Research Award, and various fundraising events, alongside financial assistance to patients and their families.
