Amman: The Oil Derivatives Pricing Committee convened its monthly meeting on Saturday to establish the local selling prices of oil derivatives for the period from March 1 to March 31.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, the committee examined the global crude oil and petroleum derivative prices for February and compared them with January's figures. This review indicated an increase in the average global prices of 90-octane and 95-octane gasoline, along with diesel fuel.
In response to these changes, the committee decided to increase the price of 90-octane gasoline to JD.820 per liter, a rise from JD.810, and 95-octane gasoline to JD1.050 per liter, up from JD1.035. The price of diesel was increased to JD.655 per liter from JD.645.
The committee chose to keep the price of kerosene unchanged at JD.550 per liter and retained the price of a 12.5-kilogram domestic gas cylinder at JD7 per cylinder. The average price of Brent crude oil climbed to $71.5 per barrel in February, compared with $66.8 per barrel in January.
