Jordan is one of Kazakhstan's promising partners in the Arab world, and this partnership and cooperation have been strengthened thanks to the strategic views of the leaders of the two countries, according to a Kazakh embassy statement released Wednesday on the occasion of the country's National Day. The embassy underlined that Jordan and Kazakhstan see eye-to-eye on major global and regional issues, cooperating effectively on multilateral platforms, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia and closely coordinating their movements to solve pressing international problems. The statement explained that Kazakhstan highly appreciates the Kingdom's active participation in the work of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which is an important international platform established to develop dialogue between global sects. Kazakhstan, like Jordan, supports all international efforts aimed at resolving the Syrian crisis, expressing its appreciation for the role of Amman, which actively participated as an observer in the Astana process and made a significant contribution to resolving the conflict in Syria. Regarding the celebration of the National Day, the embassy said that Kazakhstan celebrates Republic Day on October 25 of each year, a "pivotal moment" in 1991 when Kazakhstan declared its sovereignty. The statement pointed out that Kazakhstan today has become the largest economy in Central Asia, and since obtaining sovereignty, it has witnessed a rapid rise in living standards, and an improvement in health, education, and quality of life in general. The statement highlighted the significant progress Kazakhstan has made in its journey towards democratic transformation, which was embodied in the implementation of wide-ranging political reforms, including constitutional amendments following the national referendum held last year. It pointed to Kazakhstan's economic progress, which has gained international notability, with huge reserves of oil, gas and minerals. The country has effectively benefited from its natural wealth, becoming the first investment destination in the region and a major financial center. It said that the progress achieved since the declaration of Kazakhstan's sovereignty is not just a testimony to its past, but rather constitutes a strong foundation for its future, and this foundation is fertile ground from which new innovations, deeper diplomatic relations, and further progress in all social, political and economic fields will undoubtedly emerge.
