Judiciary to Take ‘Deterrent’ Measures in Olive Oil Adulteration Cases

Amman: Chief Public Prosecutor Dr. Nayef Samarat has instructed Jordan’s public prosecutors to take all deterrent legal measures in olive oil adulteration cases. This directive aims to address the rising number of such incidents during the current season.

According to Jordan News Agency, the circular specifies that fraudsters will be charged under the Kingdom’s Food and Drug Law and the Penal Code. This move is part of efforts to curb the increasing phenomenon of olive oil adulteration.
