Amman: The Arab Kickboxing Federation (AKF) has announced the appointment of Murad Shloul as its new Secretary-General. The federation also revealed a series of appointments involving Jordanian athletes to various main and subsidiary committees, a move that reflects a strategic reshuffle within the organization.
According to Jordan News Agency, Mahmoud Shawarbeh will take on the role of Assistant Secretary for Administrative Affairs, while Dr. Basma Jaber has been appointed as Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative Affairs. Additionally, Wael Yahia will assume the position of Treasurer. These appointments are part of a broader strategy to distribute positions across various Arab countries, aiming to attract skilled athletes and advance kickboxing sports regionally.
In a press statement, Murad Shloul emphasized that the reshuffle is part of a strategic plan to expand the base of joint Arab institutional action and enhance the role of Arab competencies in shaping the overall policies of kickboxing. He highlighted that this effort seeks to coordinate technical and administrative efforts among member states to make the sport a tool for cooperation and development.
