Jordans Military Intercepts Iranian Missiles

Amman: The Jordanian Armed Forces reported the successful interception of 10 ballistic missiles launched from Iran, while three additional missiles landed in remote areas. "Jordans air defence systems engaged 13 ballistic missiles that entered the Kingdoms airspace, successfully intercepting and destroying 10 of them, while three missiles fell in remote areas away from populated centres," a Jordanian military statement confirmed. Jordan confirmed that there were no casualties reported.

According to Deutsche Welle, the missile launches were part of escalating tensions in the region. Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that recent strikes on Iran were a response to the missile launches targeting US positions on Monday and efforts to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
