Jordan’s Health Ministry Secures Consecutive Social Government Award for Health Content

Amman: The Ministry of Health has once again clinched the Social Government Award for “Best Content on Health Sector,” marking its second consecutive win in this category.

According to Jordan News Agency, the accolade highlights the ministry’s dedication to adhering to the Royal directives which call for the health sector to exert maximum efforts to safeguard public health and enhance the delivery of quality healthcare and preventive services. These efforts are aimed at addressing the health needs of the society effectively.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the ministry revealed that the results of the second round of the 2024 Social Government Award on Social Media Platforms will be officially announced during a ceremony hosted by the United Arab Emirates, slated for April 28-29. Dr. Ghaith Owais, Director of the Health Awareness and Media Directorate, accepted the award on behalf of the Ministry of Health during the ceremony attended by representatives from various Arab countries.

During his speech at the ceremony, Owais emphasized that this significant achievement was the result of collaborative efforts from all stakeholders and supporters of Jordan’s health sector. These efforts were focused on optimizing publishing and communication across digital platforms to elevate the standards of public health services in Jordan and to address community health needs through awareness and participation.

Owais further stated that the ministry’s vision is to implement effective communication practices with all societal segments, acknowledging their crucial role in reducing the health, social, and economic burdens on individuals and the wider community.
