According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Balqa Applied University has achieved significant recognition with its Aqaba Maritime Education and Training Center (AMETC) receiving three prestigious international quality certificates from the French classification body, Bureau Veritas (BV). These certifications-ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems, ISO 21001:2018 for educational organizations, and ISO 24438:2023 for maritime education and training services-highlight the institution’s adherence to global standards. Notably, AMETC is the first institution worldwide to obtain all three certifications, which are accredited by esteemed international bodies such as the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the British Accreditation Authority (BRITAA), the French Accreditation Committee (COFRAC), and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). University President Ahmed Al-Ajlouni emphasized that these awards reflect international confidence in the center’s programs and its capability to provide highly skilled professionals to the maritime sector.

Meanwhile, students from the Queen Rania Faculty of Tourism and Heritage at the Hashemite University have also marked a significant achievement. Sondus Al Otaibi and Ru’a Qudah won first place in the “Heritage Hackathon 2025” at Al-Hussein Technical University, outcompeting more than 71 teams from across Jordan. Their winning project introduced an electronic system to manage tourist flows at archaeological sites, aiming to enhance visitor safety and preserve heritage. Nayef Haddad, dean of the faculty, noted that this achievement underscores students’ academic excellence and innovative potential, reinforcing the college’s commitment to integrating technology with heritage and national identity.

At Mutah University, President Salama Al-Naimat highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering an inspiring educational environment that promotes academic, cultural, and social development. The university is dedicated to preparing students to meet contemporary demands through direct engagement and comprehensive oversight of campus life, supported by qualified staff and tailored programs. Dean of Student Affairs, Maher Al-Mubaidin, added that the university offers a variety of extracurricular activities each semester to expand students’ knowledge, develop personal skills, enhance community participation, and strengthen national and university affiliation.

Additionally, Al-Albayt University’s Faculty of Business, in partnership with the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Excellence and the Business and Professional Women Association (BPWA), conducted a workshop on entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises. Mari Bani Khaled, dean of the faculty, emphasized that extracurricular activities offer practical applications of business concepts. Hatem Al-Masaeed, director of the Center of Sustainable Development and Women Empowerment, highlighted the importance of such workshops in providing students with access to funding and support to boost economic capacities.
