Jordanian Industrial Bodies Collaborate on Green Energy Storage Solutions

Amman: The West and North Amman Industrial Investors Association held a meeting with the Renewable Energy and Energy Management Companies Association (REES) to explore collaborative frameworks for integrating sustainable energy solutions into Jordan's industrial landscape.

According to Jordan News Agency, Saeid Rasas, Chairman of the West and North Amman Industrial Investors Association, emphasized the necessity of educating industrial leaders on the strategic advantages of energy storage systems. He noted that these technologies, whether integrated with existing solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays or utilized alongside the traditional electrical grid, are essential for enhancing operational sustainability and significantly reducing production costs.

Rasas proposed the organization of a specialized workshop tailored for the industrial sector. The session would focus on the transition toward energy storage batteries as a viable alternative to diesel-powered generators, citing both environmental concerns and the high overhead associated with traditional fuel.

Mohammad Al-Dadu, Chairman of REES, stated that a primary objective of his association is to safeguard the interests of companies operating within the green energy sector while fostering robust partnerships with government entities. He stressed that a collaborative approach is vital for the advancement of Jordan's renewable energy infrastructure.

Al-Dadu further highlighted the importance of deepening ties with chambers of industry and industrial associations. He noted that REES aims to provide technical expertise and policy recommendations regarding energy and electricity in close coordination with relevant regulatory authorities.

The meeting was attended by a number of association and REES stakeholders.
