Jordan Stands Firm Against Displacement and Misrepresentation of Its Palestinian Stance

Amman: Jordan’s Minister of State for Media Affairs, Momani, reiterated the nation’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the rejection of displacement and the establishment of a Palestinian state as a matter of supreme national interest.

According to Jordan News Agency, Momani addressed attempts to distort Jordan’s position, highlighting the unfortunate readiness of some platforms to cast doubt on the country’s consistent and clear stance regarding Palestine. He noted the rise of misinformation and media distortion globally, including the use of fake news by major outlets. Jordan remains committed to its steadfast positions, particularly the rejection of forced displacement of Palestinians and the support for Gaza’s reconstruction without displacing its residents. This is part of a broader strategy to uphold the truth and showcase Jordan’s pivotal regional role.

Momani also discussed Jordan’s approach to handling media outlets that misrepresented statements made by His Majesty during a meeting with the U.S. President. As part of efforts to enhance transparency and counter disinformation, Jordan has adopted a multi-faceted strategy to clarify and defend its positions. This includes speaking through key state figures and enforcing laws to hold local media accountable for spreading misleading information. Internationally, Jordan faces legal challenges in holding media platforms accountable but continues to clarify its stance and provide accurate information to refute false claims.

Momani affirmed Jordan’s efforts to boost Arab coordination on Gaza displacement plans, working with Arab nations to form a unified stance on regional issues, particularly the Palestinian cause. He confirmed the alignment between Jordan and its Arab allies, especially in rejecting forced displacement policies and supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
