Baku: Jordanian envoy in Baku, Sami Ghosheh, Thursday, headed the Jordanian delegation participating in the Contact Group of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit on the COVID-19 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The summit focused on the importance of concerted efforts by the NAM member states to recover from “the repercussions of COVID-19.”
The summit, which saw the participation of 70 countries, discussed the ramifications of COVID-19, the importance of exploiting technology to overcome its repercussions, and governments’ response to the pandemic’s impact on economies.
It discussed the development of multilateral dialogue, the expansion of cooperation and the growing challenges and threats to international security and stability.
