Jordan Monitors Progress on Transit Visas for Jordanians in GCC Countries

Amman: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is closely monitoring the ongoing developments related to the issuance of transit visas for Jordanians residing in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This initiative aims to facilitate their return to Jordan by land through Saudi Arabia during the summer vacation.

According to Jordan News Agency, Ministry spokesperson Sufian Qudah stated that the Ministry has engaged with Saudi authorities in response to inquiries and requests from Jordanian residents living in GCC countries. He confirmed that Saudi Arabia has begun issuing visas to Jordanians as of this morning, through electronic applications submitted via the designated Saudi electronic platform.

Qudah expressed gratitude towards Saudi Arabia for its cooperation and prompt response, which includes approving the requests of Jordanian citizens seeking transit visas. He further explained that Saudi authorities will issue return visas that will allow Jordanian residents to transit through Jordan to their respective GCC countries by submitting electronic applications.
